The University of South Dakota Department of Nursing and Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Program seek a people-oriented, self-motivated, detail-oriented and technologically astute individual to coordinate and manage the day-to-day administrative services for their respective programs on the USD-Sioux Falls campus. This position will ensure prompt responses to inquiries, follows established procedures and assists in fulfilling the programs missions and goals.
This position will provide administrative support, day to day operations assistance to the Directors, faculty and staff both programs. This position will coordinate meetings for internal/external constituents; handle incoming and outgoing electronic communication; assist with preparation of presentation material; review and summarize reports and documents; route and answer correspondence; prioritize, coordinate multiple projects and follow through on issues in a timely manner; and other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of modern office/clerical procedure and practices.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
Experience with office equipment and software including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom.
Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
Experience working in education.
This position offers state health insurance and benefits, which includes a retirement plan with 6% matching, 10 hours of annual leave each month, 9.34 hours of sick leave each month, and 11 paid holidays. Employees also have access to internal and state-sponsored training as well as reduced tuition for state-supported courses at all State of South Dakota academic institutions.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

USD Nursing and the Doctor of Nursing Anesthesia Program are two of ten programs within the USD School of Health Sciences, offering a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing Degree in Vermillion and Sioux Falls, and an RN-BSN program, a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice, and an online MSN and DNP programs. The School of Health Sciences and the USD/Sanford School of Medicine comprise the Division of Health Affairs.
