Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
This position performs a variety of complex office support duties of a clerical/administrative support nature.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Dependent upon assignment, duties and percentages may fluctuate based on the location and supervisory expectations. The position's supervisor shall provide a more detailed list of job duties to reflect the specifics of the areas assigned.
Perform a variety of complex office support duties of a clerical/secretarial nature such as scheduling appointments and meetings; answering, screening and route phone calls via multi-line phone system; greeting and directing customers. When possible, the employee handles those contacts him/herself, exercising good judgment and tact when difficult situations arise. Employee will promote good public relations with callers.
Prepare and enter data and information from source documents, rough draft or general instructions into forms, correspondence, and statistical reports. Maintain spreadsheets for various assigned department activities in accordance with Departmental policies. Verify accuracy of data by performing comparisons between source and end-use data.
Review documents for proper coding, classification, mathematical accuracy, and compliance with procedures. Prepare office forms and reports. Maintain stock of supplies and forms for the assigned office. Open and sort mail, distributing or taking action as appropriate. Sort, file, retrieve and purge office records.
Assist other departments as requested and approved by supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Must be able to perform attached Essential Functions.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
Licensing & Certification:
Valid Driver's License
Minimum Qualifications:
One year of experience in general office, clerical, or administrative support.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with Athena, OMIS, the Kansas Court's Electronic Filing System, and CM/ECF federal system for filing pleadings
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements:
Candidate must take and pass a drug-screening test approved by the Division of Personnel Services.
