Summary:
The Operations Manager is directly accountable for the operationalperformance at Martinic Engineering. The Manager will oversee staff andoperations. Responsibilities include:production efficiency, process flow, production control, shift scheduling,employee hiring and training, and general troubleshooting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing and directing production activities in a machining environment. Coordinates the production of parts, ensures machines are repaired and running smoothly, and manages workers/leads in a shop environment.
Operational responsibility for safety, delivery, productivity, staffing, scrap, and other key metrics.
Strategically lead the business and operational goals and initiatives
Establish budgets and strategic plans to achieve division objectives
Build culture of continuous improvement via lean six sigma.
Drive operational excellence and standardization.
Partner with supply chain to accelerate operational performance.
Pro-actively analyzes operational metrics, making and driving process improvements within manufacturing, customer service, supply chain, and sourcing
Determines business impact from the operations metrics and make recommendations to the business unit
Works with current and potential customers to promote/leverage company products and services.
Accountable for driving Lean Initiatives throughout the operation to ensure they are fully embraced and implemented.
Ensures the operation has adequate inventory, production control scheduling, shipping/receiving logistics.
Develops a budget plan and manages operation within budget constraints.
Maintains familiarity with competitive environment within geographical area of responsibility.
Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
Performs all other duties as assigned
This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the Tolleson, AZ location.
Qualifications
Education, Training, Skills and ExperienceRequirements:
Bachelors Degree in a technical or business discipline is preferred
Must have strong metrics/results driven methodology; Personal culture of Lean and continuous improvement; Financial, budgeting, and strategic planning knowledge and experience.
Minimum seven years operations management experience in Aerospace industry with budgetary and P&L responsibility in a low-volume, high-mix machining and assembly/test operation.
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving / resolution skills and a team focus.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to management, customers, and employees.

Physical Demands:
Prolongedperiods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and attending meetings.Must be able to access and navigate the production facility. Frequent occasionsof standing and walking. Clear vision, including close vision, distance vision,and depth perception, is required for tasks such as reading reports, observingproduction lines, and interacting with equipment. May be exposed to noiselevels that can be distracting or uncomfortable. May require lifting up to 50lbs on occasion.
