Provides administrative, project, and communications support assistance to ensure the efficient daily functioning of the Office of the President. Serves as a key member of the President's office team and represents the University as the initial point of contact (via phone and in-person visitors) for internal and external constituents.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES TYPICALLY NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY:
Proficient computer skills and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.)
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and resource management skills
Ability to manage complex calendars
Ability to interact effectively and courteously with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds
Ability to work independently and meet established or anticipated deadlines
Ability to to take on a wide range of duties and projects, and prioritize work appropriately
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed
Excellent financial management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree
Previous experience working in an academic environment
High school diploma or equivalent
2-4 years administrative office experience
