Hours are 8.0 hours/day Monday through Friday, 206 days annually. The schedule will be assigned throughout the entire calendar year. This position will support both the Maintenance Department and the Career and Technical Education (CTE) departments.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs secretarial duties such as typing, filing, scheduling appointments, answering phones, etc.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with co-workers, staff, and the public.
- Responsible for tracking and managing supply inventory, including ordering supplies as needed.
- Manages the Maintenance department and CTE budgets and processes purchase orders.
- Assists with the district-wide surplus process.
- Support the facility use and facility access processes.
- Prepares cash deposits from CTE activities for the purpose of making timely bank deposits.
- Assists the CTE department in cash receipting processes.
- Monitors account balances and related financial activity for the purpose of ensuring that expenses are within budget limits and fiscal practices are followed.
- Develops reports for the purpose of meeting deadlines and complying with district, state, federal and grant guidelines.
- Implements reporting procedures and internal controls for the purpose of maintaining accurate records and complying with district policies and/or other regulatory requirements.
- Maintains a variety of fiscal information, files, and records for the purpose of providing up-to-date reports and an audit trail for compliance.
- Manages the organization, cleanliness, and security of the maintenance shop.
- Responds to ill or injured students in the absence of the nurse and dispenses daily medications as needed.
- Assists maintenance and CTE personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their duties.
- Works with materials in a confidential manner and treats them as such.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent. Two years of successful secretarial/bookkeeping experience are required.
- Appropriate secretarial training and knowledge of modern office procedures including grammar, English, spelling, filing systems, standard office equipment, and machines.
- Knowledge and ability to operate computers. Preference may be shown to those candidates with demonstrated experience with PC computers using Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite, and the Qmlativ fiscal management programs.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively in both oral and written forms.
- Must be capable of courteous and efficient conduct with employees, students, and the public.
- Must be capable of handling confidential situations in an appropriate manner.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and assume responsibility for regular activities without supervision.
- Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance.
