Reports To: Building Administrator
Position Purpose: To assist with the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy, hectic, productive, and smoothly-run environment; works extensively in receiving, welcoming, referring, and communicating with parents, students, community members, and school district personnel.
Perform duties and operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Program at Pine Ridge Prep as assigned.
Qualifications:
Typing and word processing skills
High School diploma or GED
Ability to operate office machines
Bookkeeping and accounting skills in running school's food service program
Ability to work extensively with computer/word processor, excel, access, publisher
Ability to handle pressure and stress
Skill in working with the public in a positive manner
Basic math skills
Ability to read and write the English language
Demonstrate knowledge of food safety basics
Ability to lift 20-50 pounds
Ability to stand up to 4 hours
Knowledge of portion sizes
Ability to work with others
Physical/Emotional Requirements: (The incumbent may be required to use the below requirements during any part of the working day.) Speaking, Hearing, Visual, Walking/Mobility, Consistency of temperament, Ability to work with a variety of people at the same time, Stamina for working in stress producing environments. Position may include stooping, kneeling and bending. Ability to sit/stand/move around at will.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Manage telphone and messages (pleasant tone of voice, accuracy in messages and transfers, relate name of caller)
- Greet visitors - similar skills
- Manage daily attendance, including tardies
- Produce breakfast and lunch count sheets
- Submit work orders
- Maintain updated student class lists
- Manage pony mail distribution and preparation for departure
- Copy as requested
- Assist Building Leader as requested
- Assist with enrollment as directed by Building Leader
- Assist with CUM folders as requested by Building Leader
- Enter new students/drops as requested by Building Leader
- Enter student updates on mainframe and email staff
- Keep copy/printer paper supplied
- Enter purchase requests
- Preparation of food items
- Prepare food carts
- Serve food
- Clean and sanitize all food service areas and equipment
- Maintain and order supplies as needed
- Unloading and putting away stock
- Take and document temperatures
- Wash dishes as needed
- Other duties as requested by Building Leader and Principal
Terms of Employment:
Full-time - 8 hrs - wage and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.
Evaluation:
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board policy on evaluation of Support Service Personnel
