File Clerk
Reports to: Assistant Director
General Description: Perform organizational tasks to ensure the Benefit & Pension Fund staff are supported and have the most accurate and up to date documentation needed for their daily job requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Developing an efficient filing system to make updating and retrieving files easier.
Check incoming paperwork (correspondence, invoices etc.) and make copies before distributing.
Label and updating paper files.
Putting files in proper locations
Gathering and organizing files and documents for coworkers' use, such as for reports
Photocopying, scanning, and sending faxes.
Sorting, delivering, picking up and sending mail.
Store all paperwork in designated places securing important documents.
Follow policies and confidentiality dictations to safeguard data and information.
Monitor inventory of files, paperclips, etc. and report shortages.
Provide telephone coverage for receptionist as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Key Job Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
2-3 years' experience preferred
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office and office equipment such as photocopies, scanner, etc.
Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
