The Administrative Specialist II works under general supervision and is responsible for typing and providing administrative and clerical support to supervisory and professional staff. This position is governed by agency/institution policy.
This is a 12-month on-campus position. If not residing within a reasonable commuting distance from Camden, AR, relocation is required.

Ability to extract and organize information.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Administrative Specialist III has regular contact with department staff, other state agency/institution personnel, clients/students, personnel of regulated entities, and the general public.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
- Acts as office receptionist. Greets and directs visitors. Screen calls in Allied Health Department, responds to routine questions regarding policies and procedures, provides instructions on completion of forms, and makes referrals to other sources of information as needed.
- Assists with maintaining the divisional budget.
- Completes and files Allied Health reports in an accurate and timely manner as requested.
- Maintains present and past Allied Health students' records. Completes interstate endorsement forms as required.
- Assist instructors with typing and copying tests and instructional materials.
- Maintains sufficient supplies for faculty and students by conducting physical inventory of faculty supply area and skills/simulation labs, ordering, receiving, and restocking office and lab supplies.
- Monitors academic calendars and keeps abreast of deadlines.
- Assist in planning and organize ceremonies.
- Assist with student and teaching evaluations as needed.
- Answers the phone, takes messages, and delivers messages with accuracy. Is cordial to callers requiring information as well as to visitors and assists them as needed.
- Picks up, sorts, and distributes mail for faculty.
- Completes requisitions for goods, materials and travel as needed by faculty.
- Assist with class schedules and advertisements. Assist with duties, such as set up and location of off campus classes.
- Proctors student exams and/or assignments when needed.
- Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
