Responsibilities
The pharmacy operations m anager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department and providing pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist as needed. This includes inventory management, staff oversight, policy and procedure development , and education within the pharmacy. In addition , the operations m anager should provide support, mentoring , and oversight of the activities of the clinical pharmacists and suppo rtive personnel on staff. The operations m anager shall also assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director is unavailable.
QualificationsJob Requirements:
- B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy .
- 5 + year ’ s hospital pharmacy experience (inclusive of related leadership experience) .
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy .
- Other applicable state requirements – i.e. sterile compounding, etc.
- BLS certification.
- Experience working in Microsoft Office applications, Electronic Medical Record Systems .
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy .
- 1 year as a pharmacy operations specialist .
- Hospital Pharmacy Management experience .
- ALS/ ACLS certification .
