The Pennsylvania Treasury is seeking a highly motivated Administrative Officer I to support the Deputy State Treasurer for Fiscal Operations & Policy, the Office of Policy, and the Office of Legislative Affairs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer I, you will provide broad administrative and office support across the Deputy State Treasurer for Fiscal Operations & Policy Office, Policy, and Legislative Affairs. The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Operational Planning: Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, and arrange logistics
  • Administrative Oversight: Prepare and proofread documents, manage spreadsheets and reports, and maintain both digital and physical filing systems
  • Travel Coordination: Handle all arrangements for staff travel registrations, transportation, and lodging; process travel expense vouchers and out service training requests
  • Project Contributions: Support procurement requisitions, policy tracking, and budget book preparation tasks while maintaining key master spreadsheets.
  • Collaborative Focus: Utilize strong communication and relationship-building skills while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure positive and professional interactions

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two days per week. This position is currently required to work in the office three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must have experience using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, web-based utilities or the ability to learn relevant software to perform job duties
  • You must have strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently on assignments.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Experience managing office communications as part of your responsibilities
  • Experience handling confidential or sensitive information and ensuring discretion
  • Experience performing administrative tasks such as scheduling, file maintenance, or record-keeping
