As a Senior Storage Administrator, you will lead the performance, stability, and scalability of ivari s storage infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments (Azure and AWS). Acting as a subject matter expert, you will drive our data management strategy, oversee lifecycle upgrades, and provide key insights on the health and performance of our storage environment. Your responsibilities will be as follows:
Managing the capacity, performance, and availability of storage infrastructure to ensure minimal business disruption
Support the ivari environment by managing tickets, ensuring timely resolution of user requests and incidents, and maintaining clear, accurate tracking
Participate in the monthly patching cycle, including coordination, testing, and implementation support to maintain system security and performance
Providing regular reporting and insights on storage health, capacity, and operational metrics
Planning and executing upgrades, lifecycle replacements, and continuous improvements across storage platforms
Leading and supporting storage-related and broader IT infrastructure projects
Acting as a subject matter expert for storage services, including cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS)
Reviewing and validating infrastructure and architecture designs for scalability, performance, resiliency, and cost efficiency
Identifying risks, gaps, and optimization opportunities within the storage and data environment
Developing and maintaining system documentation, including disaster recovery processes
Managing vendor relationships to ensure service levels are met for outsourced data protection services
Ensuring systems remain compliant with lifecycle standards (e.g., N-1 strategy) and best practices
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support enterprise applications and IT initiatives
Providing guidance and technical leadership across the team and broader organization
Participating in on-call rotation and providing after-hours support as required
What we are looking for
College diploma or university degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
Minimum 8 years of IT infrastructure experience, including hands-on storage administration
Strong experience with enterprise storage platforms (e.g., NetApp cluster mode)
Proven experience supporting hybrid environments (on-premise plus cloud: Azure and AWS)
Solid understanding of storage networking protocols (e.g., NFS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCoE)
Strong knowledge of Windows, VMware, UNIX, and Active Directory environments
Experience with storage monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning
Knowledge of storage architecture, design principles, and data management strategies
Experience with backup and recovery technologies.
Exposure to disaster recovery and replication solutions (e.g., Zerto or similar)
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and provide effective solutions
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders
Technical certifications (e.g., ITIL or relevant storage/cloud certifications) are considered an asset
