Under the supervision of the Chief of Police, the Records

Clerk/Evidence Technician is responsible for performing clerical duties, processing reports, assisting with police administrative duties, maintaining department files, working with the public, and other responsibilities assigned by the Chief of Police.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Basic computer skills and an understanding of Excel, Microsoft Word, UCJIS, and other software.

Leadership.

Self-management.

Ability to work effectively as a team member with administration, officers, supervisors, and the public.

Positive and hardworking attitude.

This position requires a background check, drug test, and physical.

Prior experience in administrative work.

Experience related to criminal justice.

Budgeting/fiscal management experience.

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma.

Special Requirements:

A one-year probationary period. Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, physical, and criminal background check is required.

Pay: $17.20 - $25.97 per hour
