Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft 365 Administrator with handson experience supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This role is responsible for the administration, security, and optimization of the Microsoft 365 platform, with a strong emphasis on tenanttotenant integrations, identity consolidation, data migrations, and postmerger operational stabilization.
The ideal candidate has operated in complex, enterprise environments, understands the technical and organizational realities of M&A, and can partner closely with Infrastructure, Security, Legal, HR, and business stakeholders to deliver seamless integrations.
Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 Platform Administration
Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Power Platform, and M365 security/compliance features
Manage tenant configuration, licensing, identity lifecycle, access controls, and service health monitoring
Implement and maintain security best practices, including Conditional Access, MFA, rolebased access control, and privileged identity management
Support automation and administration using PowerShell and Graph API
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Integration
Lead and support M365 integration activities for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
Plan and execute tenanttotenant migrations, including:
Exchange Online mailboxes
OneDrive and SharePoint content
Teams and collaboration workloads
Design and implement identity consolidation strategies, including directory synchronization, account matching, and domain transitions
Partner with Security and Legal teams to ensure data governance, retention, and compliance requirements are met during integrations
Support Day0, Day1, and Day2 M&A readiness activities, including cutovers, coexistence, and postintegration stabilization
Develop migration runbooks, rollback plans, and postmerger operational documentation
Collaboration & Operational Excellence
Act as a technical escalation point for complex M365 issues
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Service Desk, Security, and Application teams
Participate in change management, incident response, and problem management processes
Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior administrators and support teams
Qualifications
5+ years of handson Microsoft 365 administration experience in an enterprise environment
