(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of students' records activities including but not limited to graduation clearance forms, enrollment certifications, and transcript evaluations. Interacts with students by notifying of grade changes, grade discrepancies, change of major cancellations, GPA calculations, and transcript requests. Ensures compliance with The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), federal, state, university, and USG regulations while communicating with students, faculty, staff, and outside agencies regarding educational records.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -

  1. Maintains the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of academic records

  2. Processes grade changes, academic transcript requests and other student document requests

  3. Reviews and researches requests and updates records in database based ensuring policy, procedures, and compliance

  4. Verifies and certifies institutional student records (GPAs, academic standings, courses, and grades)

  5. Conducts audits and evaluations of records to ensure information is complete and correct per guidelines

  6. Maintains a timeline of historical calendar changes in the Registrar's Office

  7. Backup for managing electronic student records files, images student record documents, and imports into system

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

Required Experience

Three (3) years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with FERPA

Knowledge of Banner student information system or other student record systems

Knowledge of specialized registrar core functions

Preferred Educational Qualifications

An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range for this position is $17.00 to $20.00 per hour and anticipated to be on average 19 hours per week. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE

Working knowledge of FERPA

SKILLS

Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, BANNER, OnBase or similar Electronic Records Management systems)

Strong attention to detail and follow up skills

Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
