Description:
The person in this position performs intermediate administrative work with a variety of complex office assistance and administrative tasks to include receiving and processing telephone calls; typing, word processing and data entry; supervising office operations, including billing and collection, posting payments and deposits; and explaining policies and procedures to customers. This person will also oversee the operation of the planning/zoning department by keeping employees timesheets, ordering supplies, answering daily correspondences, fielding complaints from customers, attending board meetings as clerk to the board to record and prepare minutes in a timely fashion, as well as providing assistance to the Building Inspections Department as needed with processing and keying applications, and other related duties as assigned. The person in this position will be required to work 19 hours per week .

Requirements :
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a four-year college program in business administration, public administration, or another related field with six months of administrative or office management experience; or graduation of a two-year accredited program in secretarial science or business administration, and three years of progressively responsible secretarial or clerical/administrative experience including one year of administrative or office management experience; or graduation of high school or GED and at least five years of progressively responsible secretarial and/or clerical experience, including one year of administrative or office management experience.
