Description
The Altoona Area Public Library is currently hiring a full-time Administrative Assistant.
This position provides critical assistance to the Executive Director, Assistant Director, and other library staff by providing administrative support and ensuring the efficient operation of the business office.
High proficiency in skills including communication, bookkeeping, payroll, grant management, scheduling, customer service, and technology is required. Candidates should excel at time management, Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of QuickBooks and E-rate is desirable.
The position generally works 8:30 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday and includes paid holidays, generous vacation days, health insurance including dental and vision at no cost to the employee, and a retirement plan.
A current driver's license and the ability to obtain the Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Record Check, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance is mandatory.
Minimum qualifications: Associates Degree in Business or equivalent 2 years working in a business office Minimum starting salary $31,000.00 Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
