We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatch Clerk to support daily transportation and dispatch operations in Kent, WA . This role is ideal for someone with strong data entry, communication, and customer service skills who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.
The primary focus of this position will be learning the PACCAR side of the business while supporting dispatch, freight tracking, scheduling, billing, and clerical operations.
Schedule & Pay- Location: Kent, WA
	 - Schedule: Monday–Friday
	 - Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
	 - Pay Rate: $20.00/hour to start
	 - Potential pay increases upon permanent hire and based on performance
	 - Dress Code: Business casual/work appropriate attire with closed-toe shoes
	
Key Responsibilities
- Create freight manifest lists using applicable coding
	 - Assist dispatchers with assigning pickup and delivery drivers
	 - Support city dispatch operations and communicate with drivers regarding freight issues
	 - Schedule, track, trace, and bill freight shipments
	 - Coordinate line haul activities and communicate with terminals to ensure timely freight movement
	 - Maintain shipping and receiving records and verify freight against bills of lading
	 - Investigate and help resolve overages, shortages, and damaged freight (OS&D) issues
	 - Perform data entry and maintain accurate documentation using internal systems
	 - Support inventory tracking, payroll paperwork, and employee file maintenance as needed
	 - Provide guidance and training support to less experienced clerical staff
	 - Maintain organized workspaces and ensure compliance with company procedures
	
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
	 - Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
	 - Experience with AS400 systems preferred
	 - Excellent communication and customer service skills
	 - Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines in a high-volume environment
	 - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
	 - Transportation or logistics industry experience is a plus, but not required
	 - Ability to work independently and within a team environment
	 - Must be authorized to work in the United States
	
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as needed
	 - Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, and use office equipment regularly
	 - Comfortable working in a warehouse/transportation environment with varying noise levels and conditions
