Pastoral Center Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist
Location:
Pastoral Center
Functions/Responsibilities:
1. To courteously and professionally greet and direct all visitors/clients to appropriate staff,offices, and/or conference rooms.
2. To courteously and professionally answer telephone calls and refer calls to appropriate department, individual, parish, or affiliate and/or to accurately record messages or place on e-mail.
3. To pass visitors courteously and professionally through to appointments and meetings in accordance with approved procedures.
4. To record incoming faxes and send outgoing faxes.
5. Accepts and signs for packages and alerts appropriate department.
6. Sort incoming mail or put mail through the postage machine as needed.
7. Schedule conference room bookings as needed.
8. Diffuse any potentially problematic situations and assist in the resolution of any problems or needs that may occur with a conference, meeting, or at the front desk in general.
9. Work additional hours to accommodate vacation schedules and sickness of other front desk staff.
10. Perform other duties or assignments as may be required.
Minimum Requirements:
High school graduate with some computer/secretarial skills
Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Respect for the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic faith
Ability to recognize and respect matters of confidentiality
Additional Information:
$18 per hour
