The State of New Hampshire, Division of Employment Supports has a part-time vacancy for Clerk Interviewer.

Summary:

Performs a variety of clerical duties for the Bureau of Employment Supports (BES), New Hampshire Employment Program (NHEP), to ensure prompt, accurate, and courteous service to NHEP participants, agency staff, community partners and the public. The position is assigned to a NHEP Team, located in a District Office, reporting to the Field Support Manager (FSM).

YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS:Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent credential.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience in clerical work involving public contact and receptionist work.

2. Proficient computer skills including keyboarding,

4. Familiarity with the New HEIGHTS eligibility system and MS Excel or similar. Completed courses in typing and business office practices.

Responsibilities:

DETAILED TASKS (AGENCY/POSITION-SPECIFIC):

Respond to all incoming BES phone calls to answer general program questions, direct callers to the appropriate Employment Counselor Specialist (ECS), take detailed messages, and schedule or reschedule appointments. Also manages calls to participants who miss an Orientation, Service Determination, or other NHEP appointment, and sends out letters as required.

Provides a variety of support services as needed, including but not limited to, preparing correspondence, reports, and form letters; formatting documents; maintaining and ordering supplies; managing electronic and postal mail; performing faxing; scheduling interpreter services; and maintaining paperwork and NHEP e-folders. Prepare and update all NHEP orientation materials.

Oversee and complete all aspects of applicant NHEP orientation as identified in NHEP protocol, including but not limited to scheduling all applicant orientation times, providing orientation information to each applicant and marking the applicant as having completed orientation, enter case and RID notes, following NHEP protocols.

Provides back-up coverage, either on-site or remotely, for other NHEP teams statewide as assigned including orientations.

Retrieves and enters NHEP program data into the computerized information system, New HEIGHTS and Bridges, including but not limited to, verifications, case notes, orientation attendance, schedules, and sanction status.

Reviews the NHEP client referral list and the NHEP Coordinators dashboard daily and assigns and transfers participants to the appropriate ECS. Reviews the clients scheduled list and enters notes into New HEIGHTS as appropriate. Prints and scans various client letters, case notes, and schedules as needed.

Communicates with the District Office Reception Staff, when necessary, to ensure the flow of necessary information between NHEP and the front office of the District Office occurs.
