JOB TITLE: Shared Time Instructional Administrator
SALARY LEVEL: Base Rate Based on Experience / Education
LOCATION: District (Shared Time Program)
EMPLOYMENT TERM: Part-time
REPORTS TO: Associate Superintendent of School Improvement

PRIMARY JOB GOAL: The Shared Time Instructional Administrator will provide instructional oversight, mentoring, and compliance monitoring for teachers participating in the Shared Time program at Holland Christian. This individual ensures instructional quality, appropriate use of shared time resources, and adherence to Michigan Shared Time requirements. The scope of work will vary annually based on the number of participating teachers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Conducts classroom observations and instructional evaluations of participating shared time teachers.
- Provides written and verbal feedback aligned to instructional standards and shared time expectations.
- Serves as an instructional mentor and coach, supporting professional growth and effective instructional practices.
- Communicates with participating teachers, building leadership, and district administration to determine instructional needs and recommended improvements.
- Supports teachers with instructional planning, assessment practices, and implementation of curriculum.
- Identifies instructional materials and supplies needed to support shared time instruction.
- Coordinates ordering, tracking, and appropriate use of shared time-funded supplies and materials.
- Ensures all shared time services, materials, and supports are secular, neutral, and non-ideological, in compliance with Michigan Shared Time requirements.
- Maintains documentation related to observations, mentoring, instructional services, and resource use for compliance and audit purposes.
- Collaborates with district administration to support shared time reporting, monitoring, and audit requirements.
- Adjusts scope of services annually based on the number of participating teachers.
- Attends meetings as requested to support shared time planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Instructional Leadership & Knowledge of Practice:
- Demonstrates knowledge of effective instructional practices and curriculum implementation.
- Demonstrates understanding of assessment and data use to support instructional improvement.
- Provides coaching, modeling, and feedback to support instructional growth.
- Demonstrates experience in instructional leadership, evaluation, and mentoring.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Works collaboratively with district and nonpublic school leadership.
- Communicates effectively with teachers and administrators.
- Maintains professional relationships focused on instructional improvement and compliance.
Shared Time Compliance Responsibilities:
- Ensures shared time services comply with Michigan Department of Education Shared Time guidelines.
- Verifies that instructional services and materials meet allowable shared time use.
- Maintains required documentation and records for compliance and audit purposes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan administrator certification.
- Experience in instructional leadership, evaluation, or coaching.
- Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and effective instructional practices.
- Familiarity with Michigan Shared Time requirements preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to demonstrate mature judgment and ethical behavior.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Demonstrates the physical and psychological capacity for the demands of the teaching assignment/coaching assignment.
