Salary Range: $28.09 $29.35 hourly

The Town of Brookline is seeking a Part-Time Senior Clerk-Typist to join the Town Clerks Office. This position provides administrative and customer service support to ensure smooth operations and accurate maintenance of public records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with creating and maintaining public records, including birth, death, and marriage certificates.
  • Process dog licenses, voter registrations, and election preparation.
  • Respond to public inquiries and requests for information.
  • Additional hours may be required during elections and the annual census.
  • Performs all other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required, plus two years of office and customer service experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prior municipal experience and/or familiarity with election processes preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures; familiarity with statutes and regulations related to Town Clerk responsibilities, including state and federal elections.
  • Ability to organize time, manage tasks independently, and communicate effectively with the public.
  • Strong customer service, written and oral communication, and organizational skills.
