Physical Therapy Receptionist Fridays and Fill In

This position will perform the routine business office and clerical duties necessary to ensure the efficient operation of the Rehabilitation Department. Will assist with the admission and discharge of patients, classify medical records of patients, perform a variety of typing, clerical and phone duties in connection with patients' insurance and may receive and record payments made by patients as well as compiling statistics. Will need to utilize various software applications and computer systems, manage the phone, as well as maintain and oversee department inventory. Will also maintain the general order and cleanliness of the department.

Qualifications

C.N.A. experience and CPR certification preferred but not mandatory. Phone skills and data entry experience beneficial. Organized, efficient and an ability to work independently an asset. Motivated to learn and adapt to an evolving program and position and willingness to assist as needed. Good people skills and discretion essential.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Rehabilitation

ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS: Job functions may include, but not limited to;

Opening and closing up the department

Restoring order and cleaning up treatment areas between patients in timely manner

Answering phone and returning calls

Electronic scheduling, reminder calls and filling cancellations as able

New patient electronic medical record intake/insurance verification, etc.

Send/receive faxes and perform medical requests

Copying, Filing, and Delivering

Patient communication and documentation

Obtaining and documenting insurance authorizations and patient authorizations

Manage supplies and inventory as needed

Assisting with handouts and patient forms

Billing

Medicare cap tracking and other statistics

Equipment management

Ensure that the therapy department is maintained in a clean and safe manner for patient comfort and convenience by assuring that the pool, therapy and office areas and necessary equipment and supplies are maintained to perform such duties/services

Managing monthly memberships and assisting with monthly members

Assisting therapists with patients in tasks not requiring professional training

Other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate or as may be directed by the director or rehabilitation staff

Daniels Memorial Healthcare Center is located in the extreme Northeast corner of Montana in the community of Scobey. We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit 25 Bed Critical Access Hospital with a Rural Health Care Clinic and 24 hour Emergency Room Care. We offer Home Health, Community Health & Hospice services.
