Job Description
Job Title: Receptionist
Department: Administration
Location: Edna Tina Wilson Living Center - 700 Cottage Island Rd, Rochester, NY 14612
Hours Per Week: 20 hours
Schedule: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
SUMMARY:
Provides general receptionist support to the practice. Greets patients/residents and visitor, answers and directs incoming phone calls. Provides superior customer service by modeling the Brand Promise and Core Values.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets patients/residents and visitors, directing them to the appropriate area(s).
- Answers incoming calls, transferring as appropriate, in a courteous and professional manner.
- Sorts and distributes daily mail and forwards if necessary.
- Types as requested, general correspondence, schedules, calendars, etc.
- Attends to copying of correspondence, reports, schedules, calendars, etc.
- UMG Only: Assists with patient check-in by having patient complete needed forms, copying patient ID, and assembling paper charts.
- UMG Only: Accepts patient copayments and records in ledger.
- UMG Only: Assist with patient appointment reminder phone calls.
- UMG Only: Assist with patient insurance verification prior to appointments.
- UMG Only: Assist with assembly of paper charts, class materials, education folders.
- PRLC Only: Payroll clerk for Nursing Departmentand performs Nursing Education statistical charting. Maintains incident report file & statistics. Processes Maintenance Work Order Request.
- PRLC Only: Provides assistance to residents, lobby area.
- PRLC Only: Maintains schedules for two Park Ridge Nursing Home Conference room
- ETW Only: Monitors and responds to alarm panel (fire, magnetic doors, and resident monitoring system) and maintains appropriate documentation.
- ETW Only: Generates reports as requested, utilizing the electronic medical record. Accepts deposits and payments and secures them as appropriate
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- None.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year experience preferred, preferably in a health care setting
- High School or equivalent preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
