Job Description:
Function of Position:
The Part-time Receptionist/Clerk primarily supports the daily office operations for the Career Services Office.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet and triage students, check students in, schedule student appointments, enter appointments/walk-ins into Handshake
Answer phone and return departmental emails
Assist with data-entry
Update and maintain bulletin boards in the hallway and resource files in the Career Library
Assist students in finding information in the Career Library
Organize files, re-stock inventory in the file room and the Career Library
Assist with entering jobs in handshake
Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned by Career Services staff

Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills and data processing skills
Strong customer service, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated learner, committed to working in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Community college experience
Experience with Banner and other software programs used by the College (such as Handshake, Slate, and Microsoft Office)
Evidence of respect for and understanding of people with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and needs and commitment to supporting an inclusive environment on campus
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration
Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently
Additional Information:
Salary: $20/hr.
Schedule: 20 hours/day, 4 days/week
Suggested Shift Options: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, or 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
