Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator
New York, NY (onsite)
2+ Month contract
Provide exceptional service from greeting all incoming customers, clients, and visitors to serving as a site information resource. Maintain a professional image of the company through prompt, courteous, and efficient service at all times.
Responsibilities

Meet, greet, and guide all visitors and staff in a friendly and courteous manner.

Maintain a pristine reception area and lobby; coordinate with internal departments for special cleaning needs.

Assist with site services and amenities including badging, Wi-Fi/IT inquiries, catering, cafeteria, vending availability, and meeting room directions.

Distribute name badges to visitors, temporary employees, and others.

Answer and transfer incoming calls.

Participate in company and community service events.

Perform site inspections; coordinate with vendors (cleaners, landscapers, facilities, security) to maintain property standards.

Perform PC support and administrative duties as needed.
Requirements

High school diploma.

2+ years of prior switchboard or front desk experience.

Basic MS Office skills (Word and Excel preferred).

Excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Comfortable working in an office environment with normal lighting, temperature, and noise.

Occasional stress from workload cycles.

Minimal physical effort; primarily sedentary work with some walking, standing, bending, reaching, or lifting objects under 10 lbs.

Requires basic skills including keyboarding, calculator use, and hand-eye coordination.
