This position involves managing patient interactions, coordinating care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental office setting and possess strong communication skills to effectively assist patients and healthcare providers. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services. Schedule appointments and manage appointments using EHR systems such as Dentrix and Dexis Conduct insurance verification and assist with dental billing processes. Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain organized dental records, ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and confidential. Assist in the development of care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems. Ensure a welcoming environment for patients by demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Collaborate with clinical staff to enhance patient experience and streamline office operations. Skills Proficiency in EMR systems, including Dentrix and Dexis Strong understanding of dental terminology. Experience with dental insurance billing and collections and documentation review. Bilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication with diverse patient populations. Familiarity with health information management practices and office management tasks. Previous experience in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred; dental office experience is also valuable. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple priorities effectively.
