Position Summary:
Mohawk Global Trade Advisors (MGTA) is seeking a meticulous and organized Duty Drawback Data Entry Analyst to support the accurate and timely processing of duty drawback claims. This role is critical to ensuring that import and export data is properly captured, validated, and prepared for submission to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) under applicable drawback programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and validate import/export data from commercial documents, customs entries, and shipping records.
- Maintain accurate databases of drawback-eligible transactions.
- Assist in preparing documentation packages for drawback claims, including CBP forms and supporting schedules.
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients to gather missing or clarifying data.
- Ensure compliance with CBP regulations under 19 CFR and other applicable laws.
- Support audits and reviews by maintaining organized records and responding to data requests.
- Monitor deadlines and assist in tracking claim status and refund timelines.
- Identify data inconsistencies and escalate issues to the Duty Drawback Program Manager.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in data entry, customs documentation, or trade compliance.
- Familiarity with import/export documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, bills of lading, customs entries).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with drawback software or CBP ACE portal a plus.
