Job Title: Receptionist

Full-Time position - 40 hours per week

Salary: $20 - $22 per hour based on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm

Leisure World of Maryland Corporation, located in Silver Spring, Maryland, is a private, age-restricted community comprised of 29 community associations and 8,000 residents. We are seeking a full-time Receptionist (40 hours per week) to provide secretarial and administrative support in the daily operational function of one of our high-rise condominiums on its campus. Working cooperatively with the Property Manager and Administrative Assistant, this position requires the Receptionist to:

  • Answers phone calls and checks voice messages.
  • Responds to callers' or guests' questions as appropriate.
  • Take thorough messages with prompt communication to staff.
  • Assists visitors/residents/contractors entering the Management Office.
  • Enter maintenance requests and assign tickets as appropriate.
  • Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested.
  • Copy, scan, email and fax documents as needed.
  • Perform electronic and hardcopy filing.
  • Walk multiple buildings to post and/or deliver documents if needed.
  • Program/reprogram key fobs and vestibule phones.
  • Create and install directory strips if needed.
  • Update and upload documents to the Association website.
  • Ensure checklist for ABMs is complete before forwarding to Property Manager
  • Log in homeowner pest control requests.
  • Program robocall, email and text messages using OneCall.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree with one or more years of related experience and/or training.
  • 1 or more years of related experience and/or training
  • Computer literate and knowledgeable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel or comparable software)
  • Ability to consistently provide a high level of accurate work delivered in a timely manner
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Ability to identify and respond to customer needs in a courteous manner
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures
