First Step Services, LLC . is a NCDHHS licensed facility for the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders, conveniently located in Cary and Raleigh, North Carolina. We are actively seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in our Raleigh office . This is a full-time, hourly, and in-office position.
First Step Services, LLC . staff is passionate about helping individuals seeking alcohol and drug use counseling. To assist in the journey to recovery, our team of masters-level licensed and certified substance abuse counselors provides a variety of outpatient services. Programs at First Step include Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient treatment, early intervention counseling and education groups, individual, group, and family counseling to supporting people returning home from inpatient, residential, and hospital programs. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator/Front Desk Security/UA Collector will support the existing administrative team as well as serve as the key contact person for the Center providing miscellaneous clerical and administrative duties.
Location: 211 East Six Forks Road, Ste 117, Raleigh, NC 27609
Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday, 5pm-9pm, Saturday, 9am-12pm EST
- Federal UA Male Collector (5 times per month): 8am-8pm EST
Primary Responsibilities:
- Checking in clients
- Scheduling appointments
- Answering billing questions
- Managing patient medical records
- Federal UA Male Collector (5 times monthly)
- Security duties to ensure building is locked & secure during group meetings
- Assisting the administrative team in other various duties

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of administrative and/or customer service experience
- Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Reliable transportation for travel between office locations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous security and/or UA collection experience
- Medical Office experience
Soft Skills:
- Comfortable creating and working in databases
- Professional phone and email etiquette
- Ability to take initiative and problem-solve
- Autonomous work ethic (being able to perform duties without direct supervision)

The salary range for this role is $ 16.00 to $ 28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
