Job Title: Unit Clerical Associate - Neuro/Acute Care Unit Department: East | Tower 7 Neurology/Medical Surgical

Scope/Position Summary
Functions as an integral member of a team of care providers on a patient care unit to provide patient care and supportive services. Responsible for coordinating/gathering all documentation related to the patient chart. Will provide a variety of clerical support services under the direction of the Registered Nurse and in collaboration with other members of the patient focused care team. Overall responsibilities include processing of orders, verification of forms for accuracy and completeness and dissemination of information on the unit. Position is located at University Hospitals East.

Minimum Qualifications
Ability to calculate fractions, decimals and percentages and to read and write common vocabulary and medical terminology plus: 1 month experience or 1 course in office practices and procedures; 1 month experience or 1 course in public relations; 1 month experience or 1-course in data entry or typing.

This position is on a medical neuro/acute care unit.

Shift: Second shift 3p-11p (may vary)
