Job Duties

We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Forestry Program Administrator within the Division of Forestry, headquartered at Fountain Square, assigned to Franklin county. What you will do

Administer, plan, & coordinate the Division of Forestry's Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) program including procurement, training, and reporting;

Apply remote sensing data to modify or create GIS data sets and analyze data to support forest management and operations projects;

Assists forest management planning and reporting for all state forests (edits GIS data and creates maps for internal or external use);

Serve as UAS pilot to collect imagery to support division programs as needed;

Perform wildfire support as directed and within training and physical capabilities;

Starting hourly pay of $30.96/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, with an end salary of $44.11/hr.

Qualifications

Completion of undergraduate core coursework in forestry or related field of study; 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in forestry; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in budgeting; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in public relations; 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in operation of computer software programs; valid drivers license.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
