JOB SUMMARY The Medical Receptionist II functions in the capacity of Clinic Registration with additional accountability in supporting administrative functions. The Medical Receptionist II enhances the Patient Experience effectiveness and efficiency in collaboration with and under the direction of the Clinic Leadership Team. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Six months relevant office experience# Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: N/A PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: N/A Experience: Two (2) years of customer service or work in a healthcare setting. Experience using computers and computer applications. Knowledge of medical terminology. Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: N/A KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent written and oral communication skills. Well-developed level of comfort working with patients and care providers. Ability to build consultative relationships to work collaboratively and to develop successful partnerships with others. Ability to work successfully with medical staff, volunteers and community representatives. Ability to exercise good judgement and accept personal responsibility, establish priorities, and to maintain patient confidentiality. ## READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures. SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10#s and 100#s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. AGE SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES: Skilled at assessment and knowledgeable of growth and development. Provides appropriate care respective to the ages of the patients served per clinical environment.
