Brown & Brown Insurance is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL.
Under Guidance of the Director, Payroll Operations, the Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all teammates. This role requires the ability to handle complex payroll tasks with precision and confidentiality.
How You Will Contribute:
Process Bi-weekly and Monthly payroll for teammates using Workday Payroll.
Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and other withholdings.
Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with TR and Finance departments to ensure accurate teammate data and payroll processing.
Stay updated on payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Add/Change/Delete access to TR Payroll page of the BB Intranet and the members of the Workday Email User Group.
Bulk uploads to the Payroll/HRIS System
Process Relocation expenses in Payroll for tax purposes
Process Tuition Reimbursements
Process Wage Garnishments
Review compensation changes to ensure accuracy.
Skills and Experience to be Successful:
Must pass financial background check
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Critical thinking and analytical ability. Position requires a self-motivated individual capable of thoughtful deliberation and organized prioritization of a variety of critical deadlines and competing tasks
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Position requires demonstrated poise, tact and efficiency in handling sensitive and confidential matters with employees at all levels in the company
Excellent command of technology including computers, telephones, scanners, copiers and facsimile machines. Position requires proficiency in word processing and office management software such as MS Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
1 - 3 years of experience in a similar position
Preferred:
Workday Payroll
FPC or CPP designation
Bachelors Degree is Business or another related field
