Job Summary:
The Medical Receptionist is responsible for coordination of all communications of the Center Manager and clerical responsibilities as assigned and performs duties relating to the establishment and maintenance of all medical records for the PACE Center with little supervision. Provides clerical support to Center Manager and other staff members. Is responsible for coordination of all communications of the Center Manager and clerical responsibilities as assigned with little or no supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answers all incoming calls, takes messages and forwards communications as appropriate.
- Maintains all attendance, dietary and daily center records.
- Prepares routing correspondence and reports from verbal instructions and rough drafts. Includes typing, filing and copying of materials.
- Orders and receives all center supplies under the direct supervision of the Center Manager.
- Monitors the front door and desk to assure participant safety.
- Establishes and maintains medical records for each participant, including filing and requesting of medical records from outside sources.
- Transcribes correspondence and reports requiring knowledge of medical terminology.
- Assists with coordinating transportation arrangements for scheduled appointments.
- Uses word processing skills to prepare correspondence and reports from rough drafts and verbal instruction
- Maintains and enters all data on participants for program reporting and evaluation.
- Provides clerical support for center staff.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High School degree or equivalent
- Computer literacy required.
- Knowledge of medical records, medical terminology, medical transcription, word processing and data entry experience preferred
- BLS Certification
