JOB REQUIREMENTS: Jump River Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking
applications for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager in
Ladysmith, WI to help lead our team in delivering reliable, safe,
sustainable, and affordable electricity to our member-owners. Reporting
directly to the General Manager/CEO, the ideal candidate will provide
effective leadership to ensure safety and compliance in the construction
and maintenance of the Cooperative\'s distribution facilities. This role
is crucial in overseeing right-of-way maintenance, inventory management,
and fostering positive relationships within the community. Key
Responsibilities: Leadership & Coordination: Direct and manage personnel
in daily line construction and maintenance activities in alignment with
RUS and engineering specifications. Coordinate activities with Hayward
Line Superintendent, Member Services Representatives, Finance Manager,
System Engineers and contractors. Safety & Compliance: Develop and
enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with established
standards, including National Electrical Safety Code and OSHA
regulations. System Evaluation & Maintenance: Schedule and direct line
patrols, voltage/load measurements, and system evaluations. Implement
timely remedial actions to maintain power quality. Strategic Planning:
Assist in developing construction work plans, annual budgets, and
organize multiple projects simultaneously to meet varying deadlines.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with members and personnel on new
services, energy concerns, and construction projects. Team Development:
Motivate, train, develop, and evaluate personnel to achieve high
productivity levels. Inventory & Fleet Management: Purchase and maintain
plant inventory, line materials, and coordinate purchasing and
maintenance of line materials, tools, and vehicles. Emergency Response:
Assist in emergencies and collaborate with other cooperatives as needed.
Continuous Improvement: Attend workshops and member meetings; maintain
up-to-date knowledge of cooperative policies, safety codes, and
regulations. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: High school
diploma or GED; Journeyman Lineman certification required. A minimum of
5 years of experience in distribution facilities, including
construction, maintenance, and system operation. Valid driver\'s license
and CDL with minimum classifications of ABC&D. Proficiency in computer
skills is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to maintain harmonious relationships with members, personnel,
