The front desk attendant greets and manages visitors to the site, maintains logs of onsite visitors, manages and orders office supplies/items, answers and triages phone calls, stocks and checks inventory of office supplies, schedules catering for company events, sends and receives mail. The position is a M - F, 8am - 4pm, 40 hour/week job with occasional overtime required and receives a paid lunch break onsite from 11:30a - 12p daily. Responsibilities: Greet and receive visitors with a positive and welcoming demeanor Manage visitor entry and exit to the site according to company policies Maintain visitors entry/exit logs Organize, distribute, sends and receives mail Orders and tracks office supplies inventory levels Assist office staff with non-routine tasks as assigned (logs, record keeping etc.) Stocks conference room to support customer and supplier visits Raises and lower company flags in accordance with local governance guidelines Communicates with vendors to order meals and supplies for company events or customers/supplier visits Writes SOP's and Work Instructions to document standard work Receives government classified packages, and files receiving paperwork accordingly Triages main phone line inquiries Ensures that the plant front lobby area is a clean and welcoming environment Performs other duties as assigned Work Environment: The front desk attendant sits at a desk for extended periods of time. Physical Demands & Skills: Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus are required. Must spend long periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to solve practical problems and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions. Highly detail oriented. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors, and/or employees. Understanding and use of group decision-making techniques, and problem-solving meeting techniques. Ability to function in a team environment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Associates or Technical degree is a plus. 3+ years of manufacturing experience recommended.
