Starting Pay: $16.58/hour

Position Summary:

Visalia Post Acute is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and staff, the Receptionist plays a key role in maintaining a warm and organized front office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff with a positive, professional demeanor

• Answer, screen, and forward phone calls; take messages as needed

• Maintain and monitor the visitor sign-in log

• Direct or escort visitors to appropriate destinations

• Notify staff of visitor arrivals, cancellations, or changes

• Handle incoming and outgoing mail

• Schedule appointments and manage meeting room bookings

• Maintain a clean and organized reception area

• Perform general administrative and clerical duties as assigned

• Protect resident privacy by maintaining the confidentiality of all protected health information (PHI)

• Report any known or suspected breaches of confidentiality

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Prior receptionist or administrative experience preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment

• Knowledge of multi-line phone systems

• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills

• Ability to read, write, and interpret a variety of instructions and business correspondence

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear throughout the workday

• Prolonged computer use; frequent use of office equipment (copier, phone, fax, calculator)

• Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds

Work Environment:

• Office setting within a skilled nursing facility

• Low to moderate noise levels

• No travel required
