Barrys is the Best Workout in the WorldTM. Founded in West Hollywood in 1998, its the original strength and cardio interval fitness experience that provides an immersive, high-intensity, one-hour workout thats as effective as it is fun. Our fitness classes alternate between working out with weights and running on a treadmill. Each day focuses on a different muscle group in order to achieve real results and to prevent injuries. Our program is designed to tone muscle and maximize fat loss, while spiking the metabolism for up to 48 hours following the class.

About the role

This position will support the real estate development, design, and construction teams. Th construction coordinators responsibility will be to support the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate will coordinate schedules, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and assist with documentation and communication between stakeholders. Ensuring the team remains organized, compliant, and poised for success, as Barrys enters new markets and expand our fitness footprint.

What you'll do

  • Work closely with development, design, and construction teams to manage the flow of administrative work throughout the lifecycle of real estate deals and new studio openings
  • Coordinate schedule of milestone dates and budget tracking for all projects in the new studio and studio remodel pipelin e
  • Responsible for ordering materials for new studio openings and existing studios
  • A ssist the Construction Team to develop, update and communicate on construction schedules to ensure time frames are coordinated with the purchasing process, submittal/shop drawing process and lead times to ensure the project will meet the required completion date
  • Ensure that construction is executed in compliance with plans, specifications, and codes
    • H elp e nforce subcontracts, contract purchase orders, change orders and work orders in relation to the schedule
    • H elp t rack vendor invoices and coordinate with accounting team for prompt payments
    • Assist in the closeout of construction project and complete all landlord submittals to request reimbursement of all tenant allowance amounts
    • Assist with the utility set-up for new studio openings following through to completion
  • Draft correspondences and documents as needed, confirming accuracy, and verifying signatures
  • Update Development team calendar for the coordination of department meetings, Pre-REC, Market Tours, REC, Surveys, Punch walks, and Planning and Strategy meetings, assist in creation and distribution of agendas and meeting recap notes
    • Maintain lease database, manage tracking of critical dates, and communicate with landlords as needed
    • Create and prepare site evaluation packages in anticipation of team visits
    • Help prepare daily reports and inspections; hold pre and post install meetings
  • Conduct regular site walks with the Director of Construction to ensure overall quality of the project and compliance with contract documents
  • Help to maintain directory of contacts for general contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, landlords, project site contacts, developers, property managers, and all others necessary for organizational reference

Qualifications

  • Availability for full time work during the hours of 9:00am to 6:00pm
  • 3-5 years experience in real estate construction project management or other relevant work experience
  • Bachelors degree in business, finance, or real estate
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceedingly strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong working proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, knowledge of additional programs (i.e. Procore, ESRI, ServiceChannel) preferred
