Job Description
We're looking for:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Veterinary Office Manager to support the day-to-day administrative operations of our clinic. Working directly under the guidance of the Practice Manager, this role will assist in leading front desk operations, coordinating staff scheduling, supporting client service initiatives, and helping maintain a smooth, efficient workflow.
This is a great opportunity for someone with veterinary or medical office experience who is ready to grow into a leadership role and contribute to a positive, team-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Practice Manager with daily administrative and operational tasks
Assist with front desk oversight, including client check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and phone support
Help manage staff scheduling and workflow coordination
Assist with onboarding and training new team members
Monitor inventory levels and help with ordering and restocking supplies
Ensure client service standards are upheld and address minor client concerns as needed
Support the implementation of clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Serve as a liaison between reception and clinical teams to promote efficient communication
Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Practice Manager
Qualifications:
Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills
Friendly, team-oriented, and client-focused attitude
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with veterinary practice management software
Comfortable working closely with the Practice Manager and open to ongoing training and development
Interest in growing into a more senior leadership role over time
We offer our staff:
Starting salary of $45,000+, commensurate with experience
